Home > Oasis > Fun on the Farm!

The goat milk project on campus continues to be a fun and rewarding endeavor. We recently learned that since the beginning of the 202 school year, over 1,000 liters of milk have been produced and distributed! The milk is both used for meals provided to students at OGCS and sold locally for additional school funds.

It is exciting to see the ownership shown by the staff and students at OGCS. One student in particular, Fernando Antonio Flores (6th grade), has taken a special interest in caring for the goats! We received the following update from his teacher, Profe Maritza:

“I noticed that Fernandito began to receive extra support when he started the Oasis Ministry. Today in the classroom he is a student who has improved his knowledge in different subjects, especially in mathematics. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer and supporting his friend Kevin (the milk farm manager) in cleaning the farm and taking care of the goats. Fernandito enjoys this activity on Saturdays. During the time I have known him he has shown respect with all the staff who work at the Oasis de la Gracia Christian School.”
