Meet Luis (10 yrs.), a sometimes shy and always respectful third grader in Profe Valeska’s class. Luis lives with both of his parents who both work to provide for their family. In 2020, Luis had to undergo an operation on his tongue, which has helped some, but he still has trouble pronouncing some words. Luis currently receives support from the school’s reading interventionist to get extra attention and practice in reading and writing. When he’s not studying, he enjoys riding his bicycle.
