The past few months, we have shared a few specific prayer requests:
1) that God would increase numbers at Oasis and multiply the ministry’s reach;
2) for wisdom and “open doors” as 18ten considers the opportunity to transition Oasis from a before-and-after-school program into a full-time school; and
3) that God would meet 18ten’s ongoing financial needs.
Growth at Oasis
We are overjoyed to share that, over the past month, attendance at Oasis de la Gracia has increased from 32 to 39 children. We praise God for his faithfulness and thank you for being faithful in prayer. We are also so thankful for the continued display of integrity and responsibility from all the staff and leadership at Oasis as they build quality relationships with the children and their families.
Transition for Oasis
Though we have yet to make any final decisions on transitioning Oasis to a full-time school, we continue to be hopeful that God will open all the right doors in His perfect timing. Please continue to pray for wisdom, open doors, and favor in raising necessary funds to make this dream a reality.
Toward the end of May, a few members of 18ten’s administrative team will be taking a trip both to encourage the current Oasis ministry in Nicaragua as well as to see what “doors” might be open in terms of property for an Oasis school. Pastor Joe Sahl and David Sahl will then hop over to Guatemala to explore other potential partnerships. Please begin praying for guidance and protection for these upcoming visits.
Thank you for your prayers regarding 18ten’s ongoing financial needs. In order to meet this year’s needs and to prepare for next year, 18ten’s Board of Directors has set a fundraising goal of $125,000. So far, we’ve raised $45,000. Please continue to pray that all financial needs will be met. To learn how you can contribute, please click here.
